Exam rehearsal for Ben

Our beloved Justin will be conducting an orchestra in Romania the day Ben has his exam so Ben had to start working with someone new. The new pianist's name is also Ben so it was slightly confusing at times! Even though it was about 100 degrees in the room, Ben did a good job, all thanks to Jean and Justin who had prepared him well.

McGill Conservatory student end of year concert

Elliott played his Beethoven Kontredanz accompanied by his cello teacher on the piano and he did a fantastic job (as you will see in the video!). Unfortunately we couldn't stay to listen to the other musicians as we had to run to our next concert!

Concert with Beacon Hill friends.

We were delighted by everyone's performances. Thank you to Justin for organizing this event and thank you to Meiying for accompanying Ben. There were 5 kids, aged 6 to 10 who played violin, cello and the piano. My favourite pieces were the ones where we got to hear both the strings and piano at the same time. They all looked so professional!

Westmount Symphony Orchestra concert.

It was absolutely amazing! They played "space" music. We all had favourites: Tim loved the Star Wars themes of course, Elliott the Star Trek themes, Ben the Fantom of the Opera and as for myself I loved the piece from the Apollo 13 movie. Congrats to Jean and her musicians!

Marc Garneau was invited to talk after the intermission and it was so interesting to hear what he had to say about his space travel and the place music took on his voyages. We even got to meet him and talk to him after the concert which was an added bonus!
