What an exciting evening we had! A total of 250 participants from differents categories made it to the finals this year and among them, our little Ben. During the course of the evening, the committee took the time to name each musician along with their score. Certificates and scholarships were awarded throughout the ceremony. Our favourite violinist finished third in his category with a score of 91%, only 0.7 points away from second place!
We could not have been more proud of him when he walked on stage. We also had the chance to talk to all five judges. They all remembered his performance... and his hair! The Russian judge told him that he loved his Paganini hairstyle which made Ben smile. Good thing we had his tooth fixed before the competition!
A great big thank you to everyone who made this adventure possible: Jean, Justin, Judy, Jean-François and all others who supported him in different ways.
A well deserved break awaits Ben and Elliott before they embark on their next adventure: CMC Vancouver 2015!
