When we told Ben last winter that we would take a trip to England in the summer and that he would not be able to bring his violin, we didn't get the reaction we expected. He told us that unless he could bring a violin, he wouldn't be travelling with us. After weeks of discussion, we came to a compromise: we bought a cheap violin that he would be able to take to England. As you can see, he is quite a serious musician!
Now that we are back from this most wonderful country, I am even more happy that he brought an instrument along. He got to play in breathtaking settings and was inspired by the people, landscape and history. Below are some of the most memorable places where he was able to let his inspiration flow.
